Open source is a term that has been gaining a lot of popularity lately. It refers to software that is developed collaboratively and made available to the public with its source code. Many developers and organizations have started embracing open source and contributing to the projects. In this blog post, I'm going to share my personal experience of discovering open source contributions.

As a computer science student, I had always heard about open source but never fully understood its potential. It was during when I was exploring what I should do so that I could earn something with the knowledge I have. The youtube channel I watched was of Kunal Khushwaha. He explained to me the benefits of contributing to open source and the impact it can have on my careers.

I was intrigued by the concept and decided to explore it further. I started by researching open source projects and reading their documentation. I found that contributing to open source was not as complicated as I had imagined. The projects had issues listed on their Github repositories, and anyone could work on them and submit a pull request.

However, I was still hesitant to contribute, as I had no experience working on open source projects. I decided to attend a few open source workshops to get a better understanding of how the projects worked. These workshops were very informative and provided me with the necessary skills to start contributing.

Through my journey of discovering open source contributions, I have realized the benefits of contributing to open source. It has helped me improve my coding skills, work on real-world projects, and collaborate with other developers. Now I am learning my skills and I have decided that I will try to contribute as much as I can in open source projects and enhance my github profile and my skills.

In conclusion, discovering open source contributions has been a game-changer for me. It has opened up a whole new world of opportunities and has helped me grow as a developer. I encourage everyone to explore the world of open source and start contributing to the projects they are passionate about.
